Earlier this year Helen was featured as one of BBC's '100 Women', celebrating her inspiring lifetime achievements. This includes working as a spy, sending coded messages in occupied France during World War II, setting up Europe's first Aids hospice and education charity Thare Machi Education. CAN is in the process of changing the name of its parent charity to Helen Taylor Thompson Foundation and will be merging with Thare Machi Education.
Chief Executive of CAN Andrew Croft said, “As a CAN Trustee Helen remains ambitious for us, urging further development of our financial investment abilities for the sector, such as our Early Intervention Fund in Partnership with UBS and Funding London, coupled with our investment and business readiness support. We hope you enjoy finding out more about such a key inspiration for our work and the extraordinary life she has lived so far.”
