This year Mental Health Awareness Week organised by Mental Health Foundation will focus on ‘stress’ and takes runs from 14th – 20th May.
With 1 in 6 adults in Britain experiencing depression, anxiety or problems relating to stress at any one time, there is no question that increasing awareness of this topic is a really important one for us all.
Mental Health Foundation say:
“By tackling stress, we can go a long way to tackle mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and, in some instances, self-harm and suicide. We will look at how we can tackle stress and help improve our mental health.”
MHFA England based at CAN Mezzanine, Old Street are supporting the campaign with #AddressYourStress
The campaign provides a toolkit that has been designed to help individuals:
* Understand triggers
* Get to know unique stress signatures
* Manage stress levels with self-care
* Reduce the impact of stress on health and life
