West London Equalities Toolkit

West London Equalities Toolkit

As the voluntary and community sector faces real challenges during this period of austerity, there is a fear that equality will fall down the pecking order of priorities. This important toolkit is a result of collaboration between five specialist equality organisations in west London. It introduces all the areas of equality specified in the Equality Act 2010, namely age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

It offers practical ideas and suggestions on how voluntary and community sector organisations, as employers and service providers, can make equality a reality in their own settings. There is also a section specifically relating to asylum seekers and refugees.

This toolkit will be a valuable resource for voluntary and community sector organisations, equalities groups and all who are interested in equality and its implementation.

The West London Equalities Toolkit is available in an A4 hard copy version and a PDF A4 version. The toolkit is free.Contact Frank Anti, Project Co-ordinator, Harrow Equalities Centre, 020 8427 6504,
